Carrier Updates

With DSNP plans transitioning to SSBCI benefits for 2026, many customers will have to go through a qualification process for benefits they are used to automatically receiving. They will need to work with the carrier on these.
Many HMO plans are adding referrals back for specialist visits. Any existing HMO clients need to be made aware of this, as recent years have not required as many referrals.
REMINDER: When quoting Medicare Supplements on CSG, you can open up the “Market Analytics” to see rate increase history on that specific block of business!
ALLSTATE
- REMINDER: Allstate has already filed and approved their extended short term plans in many states! Many other carriers are waiting on DOI approvals.
- Allstate has integrated with HealthSherpa for expanded quoting and enrollment on their under age 65 products.
ANTHEM
- Looking to increase focus on Special Needs Plans.
BCBS
- BCBS Non-Comp Lists are available for IL, OK, NM, and MT!
  - They will continue to pay renewal commissions for members that remain in one of their existing PPO or HMO plans that were previously commissionable.
  - There is no impact on commissions on these plans through December 31, 2025.
  - They will continue to offer commissions on their Medicare Supplement products and their PDP plans for 2026.
CIGNA
- Cigna’s PDP will not have a full 50 state footprint for 2026. Hawaii and Florida did not have re-bids approved, unable to offer a product in these two states.
COXHEALTH
- CoxHealth will be on IntegrityCONNECT (previously known as MedicareCENTER) for quoting!
HUMANA
- Achieve Med Supp will be pulling in the following markets:
  - TX – August 31, effective November 1.
  - AL, KS, and GA – September 30, effective December 1.
  - CA – October 19, effective January 1, 2025.
INA
- New business under INA will be accepted beginning September 1!
  - AL, CA, IL, and MN are approved and are pending transition from ACE to INA, effective September 1, 2025.
MOLINA
- We now have contracting for Molina in the following states! Reach out if you are interested in getting contracted.
  - AZ, CA, ID, IL, KY, MI, NE, NV, NM, OH, SC, TX, WA, and WI.
UHC
- UHC has released their commission amendments for 2026! There are lots of changes. Reach out to us with any questions you may have. Some highlights:
  - MAPD will include UHC non-comp plans, and there will be lots of PPOs. Many non-SNP PPOs are not paying FMV rate.
  - Medicare Supplements will see 26 states getting an INCREASE in commissions, 13 states will see a decrease, and UHICA supplement will be effective January 1, 2026! Three states are going non-comp: IN, OK, TN. All other states will see a decrease in comp.
  - DVH will be pulling from the market, making the last signature date September 30.
WELLABE
- HIP Updates in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Wisconsin:
  - The Hospital Confinement benefit will go up to $750 per day.
  - The Emergency Room benefit will cover sickness in addition to injury.
  - A new Pet Boarding benefit will cover $50 per day for a maximum of 10 days.
  - The optional Outpatient Surgery benefit rider will include the payout options of $1,500 and $2,000.
  - The optional Lump Sum Hospital Confinement benefit rider will add the payout options of $1,500, $2,000, and $2,500.
  - A new optional Outpatient Prescription Drug benefit rider will pay $20 per prescription up to $300 or $600 per year.
  - A new optional Out-of-Network benefit rider will pay $300, $600, or $900 up to three times per year.
  - Once per calendar year, clients can make benefit adjustments or add riders to their policy.
WELLCARE
- Many WellCare PDP markets are going from a $0 premium to having some form of premium cost. If you had set up clients to pay via coupon booklet in the past, make sure they are getting payment information on file so the policy does not risk lapse or termination!
WOODMENLIFE
- WoodmenLife is pausing Med Supp sales in TX: effective September 1.
  - Due to recent changes of new Under 65 Med Supp Plans in Texas, Woodmen is working on getting new premium rates approved and is pausing Med Supp sales until that happens.
