Your clients need to hear from you regardless whether they are staying with their current plan or changing. 

Carriers spend millions of dollars each year marketing in AEP.  If your clients are not hearing from you, they will be bombarded with these ads from TV, radio, internet, mail, etc. and may choose to call the carrier directly if they have not heard from you!


Issues with customer service emerged as a significant driver of Medicare Advantage switching for 2017. 

2019 saw the first increase in consumers changing plans in 4 years for MA plans and 6 years for Medicare Supplements



For the first time in more than a decade, Dental broke through in 2019 as a significant driver in causing MAPD switching. 21% of consumers cited Dental frustration as a reason to shop.




What does all this mean for you?

Medicare Beneficiaries are more likely to change plans if they are assisted by an insurance agent.  This will occur in most cases in the beginning of AEP.  Is that agent going to be you?  Your clients need to hear from you on what to do!
