The annual CMS “blackout period” will occur from November 9-17, 2018. During this period, CMS makes necessary updates to their systems and temporarily stops processing enrollments. This processing delay affects all carriers. Don’t worry though, agents are encouraged to continue to submit enrollments as normal. CMS will resume processing enrollments starting November 18.

Here’s what you need to know:

• There will be a processing delay for enrollments you submit between November 9 – 17.
• These enrollments may appear as Pending on carrier portals until they are processed by CMS (check with each individual carrier for their process).

CMS will resume processing enrollments, in the order received, starting November 18. This may take several days to complete.
