Indy Health Insurance Company PDP Update

The Arkansas Insurance Department (AID) has placed an Order of Rehabilitation on the Medicare Part D carrier, Indy Health Insurance Company, Inc.

 

Indy Health is domiciled in Arkansas, and provided Medicare Part D plans in Arkansas, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Illinois, and Georgia starting Fall of 2020. CMS Enrollment data specifies that Indy Health was responsible for approximately 40,000 Beneficiaries’ Part D coverage. Affected Beneficiaries will be allowed a 30-day Special Enrollment Period (SEP) from CMS to sign up for another Part D plan in their respective area. The SEP for contract termination expires July 31, 2021.

Agents now have a window to help affected individuals with an Indy Health Part D plan in Arkansas, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Illinois, and Georgia get signed up for a new Part D plan (with a May 1st, 2021 effective date).
