Social Media Video Ideas for Agents

Social media videos don’t have to be complicated or highly produced! Real and raw footage from your iPhone or Android is a great way to get important messages and engaging content out to your clients and prospects. Here are some video ideas every agent should be using!

1. Virtual Office Tour

Starting at the door, walk folks through the office showing them what to expect when they arrive. Who will greet them? Even show your office where they will meet with you. This is also a great chance to show off meeting rooms or other features of your setup.

2. Staff Introductions

Everyone wants to know who they are talking to when they call your office, so introduce them. A quick video “interviewing” your staff or downlines can make them seem more personable and give clients and prospects a better feel for who they will be talking to.

3. Pets

Have an office dog? Hosting a bring your pet to work day? Get some footage of the furry friends! People love pets in general, and they can make for some of your most engaging content.

4. Community Involvement & Partnerships

Are you volunteering? Take a quick video explaining what you are doing, why you support the organization, and how others can get involved!

5. Inspirational Quotes

Take a couple minutes to share a quote that inspires you and how you plan to live by that quote today.

6. Upcoming Community Events

Are you attending a community event? Promote the event and tell folks where they can find you. Even if you are not a vendor, let folks know you’ll be there and what you are looking forward to.

7. Seminars & Meetings

Hosting a seminar or educational event? Let folks know when, where, and how they can get on the list! Bonus points for taking a quick video at the event venue in advance.

8. What Got You Started

How did you start in the industry and what do you love about it?

9. New Carrier Announcement

Did you just contract with a new carrier? Let folks know! Great way to remind folks about the products you offer and share a couple notes on what made you pick up that carrier to help your clients.

10. Answering FAQ’s

Are you getting the same 5 questions continually from prospects? Those questions make for great quick videos!

11. SOA Walkthrough

Use screen capture technology to walk clients through an electronic scope of appointment to avoid frustration and confusion later. We recommend using Scribe!

12. Testimonials

If a client is comfortable doing so, ask them to give a quick video testimonial. Or if you prefer, read the testimonial yourself on video so they can see the impact it has on you!

13. Interview Your Referral Partners

Help cross-promote by doing a quick introduction video with your top strategic alliances, and make sure they share the post to their pages!

14. Do a Sandbox E-Application for a Carrier

This helps make technology and taking enrollments over the phone or computer less scary for your hesitant clients and saves you time in the process.

15. Interview Your Local Carrier Partners

Carrier representatives LOVE independent agents and agencies, as they see the value in strong partners! Interview them about the importance of working with an agent.

16. Share an Update on Costs

Every year Medicare updates premiums and other figures. Sharing these standard costs is a great way to spread information.

17. Explain the Different Types of Insurance in Simple Terms

Make a video for each product you offer.

18. Explain the Importance of Regular Reviews of Your Coverage

Discuss common annual changes like premiums, copays, and networks.

19. Showcase Your Client Appreciation Events

Before, during, and after the event. Show the prep, the party, and the cleanup!

20. Offer Insights Into Common Coverage Gaps

Talk about non-medical costs of care. A great topic would be the services not covered by Medicare.

21. Share a Client Story Where You Made a Huge Impact

Always make sure to ask the client for permission to use their story, and always keep it anonymous by not using the client’s real name.

22. Explanations of Insurance Terms or “Lingo”

Try doing a word of the week!

23. Share the Not-So-Glamorous Parts

The hold times, the app processing, the late nights. Without complaining, but showcasing how much you care.

24. Reminder of Common Coverage

Remind folks about no-cost vaccines, wellness checks, etc.

25. Unboxing Video

Record yourself unboxing a case of carrier swag, enrollment kits (when allowed), awards, and other things of that nature.

26. News

Share recent rules or updates to Medicare in a balanced manner.

27. Medicare Trivia Questions

Ask a question or two each week and offer a nominal prize for a random person with the right answer.

28. “Have you used ________?”

Talk generically about types of benefits and ask folks to comment under the video about their experience with that benefit.

29. Morning Moments

Grab your coffee and share a couple thoughts first thing in the morning. Inspiration, hope, good vibes.

30. Roll Call

Film a short, friendly video talking about how you love having clients all over the community, state, or country. Have folks comment where they are from.

31. Looking for a Friend?

Talk about a couple hobbies or pastimes you enjoy. Encourage others to comment what their hobbies are, and get together to enjoy these activities together!

32. Book Review

Read a book, any kind will do, and share a quick review for your audience.

33. On This Day in History

Share a quirky local or national history fact tied to the current date.

34. Vote on Decorations

Share a couple options for holiday decorations or new office furniture that you are already buying or putting up, and let your community vote on it!
